What Are The Speeds Offered By Safelink?

Speeds are one of the most important factors in choosing an internet service provider. Safelink offers six different speed packages, from Basic to Business.

Safelink internet program

The Basic plan offers speeds up to 1Mbps with a download limit of 10GB per month. Their high-end package, the Business plan, has speeds up to 15Mbps and a download limit of 0TB per month.

They offer six types of internet service packages :-

  • 1 Mbps package for $24.95/month;
  • 2 Mbps package for $34.95/month;
  • 4 Mbps package for $49.95/month;
  • 6 Mbps package for $54.95/month;
  • 10 Mbps package for $79.95/month;
  • 15 Mbps package for $99.95/month;

What Are Download Limits?

Download limits are an ISP’s way of controlling your internet usage. If you plan on streaming video content and have a small data plan, it’s important to know how large your package is.

For Safelink, Basic plans have a 10GB/month limit, and most Premium plans include unlimited downloads with lower-end options of 20GB per month.

But why does any of that matter if you plan on just browsing online or checking emails?

Safelink does not charge overage fees; however, speed may be decreased if download more than your allocated amount.

Why Is Safelink Internet Limited In Speed Packages?

The small size and limited coverage area of Safelink explain the lack of speed packages. They offer a basic, faster, and fastest package.

The basic is just enough to browse social media sites and email; the faster is more than enough for streaming music or video, and the fastest package can handle anything you throw at it.

However, their lack of focus on speed leaves them vulnerable in other areas. For instance, they don’t have many phone features that customers might want.

And if you live outside of the areas they cover, then Safelink is not an option for you– even if your house is in range of their towers.

What Are The Advantages Of Using Safelink?

One of the advantages of using Safelink internet is its limited coverage area. This means that if you live in a rural area, there’s a high chance you will have access to Safelink internet service.

Another advantage is their high-quality service. Unlike many other companies, they offer unlimited data and free installation, which is great for those who want to get connected quickly and easily.

Safelink also offers an affordable and competitively priced package for $24.95/month with speeds up to 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload.

How Do I Sign Up For Safelink?

To sign up for Safelink, you need a subscription and modem. The company provides you with the modem, and it is yours to keep at the end of your contract.

There are two ways to sign up for Safelink service: in person or over the phone. Both require you to provide your address and contact information as well as proof of eligibility.

Those who choose to sign up over the phone must also give their Social Security number.

  1. Unless my eyes and glasses are worse than I thought. You neglected to mention the 2 other states and 85 other cities. It is mentioned several times that they are in 3 states and 95 cities. I only see Idaho and 10 of its cities listed.
    I am left to assume that since it’s a small company with small coverage. The other 2 states probably border on Idaho.
    I live in NY and have Safelink cellular service. I am not too particularly thrilled with those services.
